Looking Forward to 2023!

After a successful 2022, we are looking forward to sharing with you an eventful 2023! Here is what is planned to date:

Salon Performance Streaming Event: Friday, February 3, 6:00 pm – Sunday, February 5, 6:00 pm – You are invited to enjoy a film of the complete September 29, 2022 Salon Performance evening, performance and discussion. The performance portion includes historic works by Isadora Duncan and José Limón and new works by Douglas Scott and Carolyn Stine McLaughlin. Film by Mollie Robertson. Access for the 48 hours is $10 and available for purchase here.

A Time with Isadora Documentary Premier: Saturday, February 25, 7:00 pm, Ciné, Athens, Georgia – This event will celebrate the incredible talents of the project’s film crew which has been hard at work since March of 2022. The documentary by three University of Georgia students (Carrie Miller, Margot McLaughlin and Mollie Robertson) includes both performance and rehearsal footage intertwined with interviews with the artists involved in the project; dancers, choreographers, reconstructors, photographers and filmmakers. It includes lots of interesting perspectives on Isadora Duncan and supports the theme of the project, how one artist influences many. $10 Suggested donation at the door.

A Time with Isadora Documentary Showing: Sunday, March 26, 3:30 pm, The Plaza Theatre, Atlanta, Georgia – The second showing of the documentary will be a part of the Atlanta Preservation Center’s award-winning event, The Phoenix Flies: A Celebration of Atlanta’s Historic Sites. ATI’s original inspiration was the Olmsted Linear Parks along Atlanta’s Ponce de Leon Avenue. ATI’s ties with historic places omnipresent with this, past and future performance at the historic Trolley Barn, and photoshoots in the park. With the addition of the presentation of this documentary at the Plaza Theatre, the event brings to the project an added focus on the principles of adaptive reuse - old dances informing new dances in old places with new uses. Free and open to the public.

Inman Park Dance Festival: Saturday, April 29 & Sunday, April 30, 4:00 pm, The Trolley Barn, Atlanta, Georgia – This annual event which is a program of the Inman Park Festival and Tour of Homes will include both the historic and new repertoire created for ATI. These works will be seen along-side other dance companies from the Atlanta area. Free and open to the public.
