Time to Go to The Plaza

We are thrilled that we are just two days away from the Atlanta showing of A Time with Isadora: How One Artist Influences Many. This beautiful film not only documents the year that the project’s artists have spent with the phenomenon of the modern dance icon Isadora Duncan, it actively demonstrates the theme of the project, that one artists influences many. The showing will take place on Sunday, March 26 at 3:30 pm at The Plaza Theatre which is located at 1049 Ponce de Leon Avenue NE, Atlanta 30306. Admission is free and the public is welcome.

In addition to being a significant offering of the project, this event is also part of the Atlanta Preservation Center’s A Phoenix Flies: A Celebration of Atlanta’s Historic Sites. The original inspiration for the A Time with Isadora (ATI) came from Atlanta’s historic Olmsted Linear Parks which flank Ponce de Leon Avenue at its eastern, residential section. In addition to the project’s connection to the park, the project’s performances have taken place in Inman Park’s historic Trolley Barn. With the addition of the presentation of this documentary at The Plaza Theatre, ATI has the unique angle of considering old and new and the principals of adaptive reuse - old dances informing new dances in old places with new uses.
