Artist Award Received

A Time with Isadora is grateful to announce that Carolyn Stine McLaughlin has been awarded an individual artist’s grant from the City of Atlanta, Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs. This grant is for the creation of the short film entitled Beauty Through Mattus. The short film uses the dance by the same name which was created as a part of this project as the stepping off point for the film. The project will use film to amplify the themes of the choreography. These intentions are to demonstrate that the job of the artist is to work through the disorder and chaos to give the audience a glimpse of the divine and that the need for beauty is innate.

The film will premier as the Inman Park Dance Festival in 2024 and then be available to the public via this website and other public platforms. To see what happened on shoot day, visit this gallery of images.
